Our electric motor plant in Dessau has been making motors and generators for the shipbuilding industry for more than 35 years. We thus have unique industry expertise.
In addition to our three-phase generators for auxiliary diesel generators, our product range also includes shaft generators for PTO and PTO/PTI (Power Take Out/Power Take In) operation. In PTI mode, these can be operated as a synchronous motor in booster or PTH (Power Take Home) mode.

AEM’s most recent development project are submersible/underwater motors with protection class IP 68, which originated from a development project for the company Bakker Sliedrecht. These are used, for example, as pump drives on suction dredging ships.
All machines are designed, constructed, manufactured and certified according to the requirements of the major classification societies.
