Electrician for Machines and Drive Technology

Training period: 3½ years

insertion, isolation and switching of coils in electrical machines
manufacture of wire-wound and pre-formed coils from copper
assembly of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic components
commissioning, testing and repair of electrical machinery
monitoring control and regulation technology programmes
PC board assembly (printed circuit boards on which the smallest electronic components are mounted)
academic requirements for this apprenticeship:
- A levels or extended secondary school leaving certificate
- good results in Maths, Physics and Technology
