In the construction of the small Moggio hydropower plant, much emphasis was placed on environmental protection and the preservation of a forging factory from the 17th century. The water outlet at the plant flows through a perfectly restored forge. A Pelton turbine drives a vertical synchronous generator manufactured by AEM. The standard capacity is 1.9 GWh.
