- insertion, isolation and switching of coils in electrical machines
- manufacture of wire-wound and pre-formed coils from copper
- assembly of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic components
- commissioning, testing and repair of electrical machinery
- monitoring control and regulation technology programmes
- PC board assembly (printed circuit boards on which the smallest electronic components are mounted)
- academic requirements for this apprenticeship:
- A levels or extended secondary school leaving certificate
- good results in Maths, Physics and Technology
